Sometimes, a reference refers to another reference and one might feel inclined to infer therefrom that this could possibly result in a chain of reactions while experience indeed appears to show that there is a considerable likelihood to end up in a cul-de-sac.
I have been there, I have seen it and it is NOT nice.
What most seem to struggle with, though, is the observation that you have to go back: - to reinvent the wheel, you have to revisit places.
